Fashion: Paradise City

cover

The theme of this shoot was aimed at a rock-chick look with a slightly more modern and fashionable edge. The black leather leggings were glammed up with black heels with a golden line on the front and a faux crocodile leather clutch bag with a gold chain. The location also featured a modern art piece of metallic sharp pointed curves. The movement of the model's hair was accentuated with the shape of the sculpture and the sharp edges also added to the modern rock 'n roll design.

One of the models that I worked with previously has asked me for a follow up shoot for his portfolio. Working with Michail always means I get to experiment with new lighting techniques and got to show my new assistant around the studio. You can red about his experience as a training photographer and follow his progress on this link: Duncan Hoole Photography.

By the end of 2013 I did a model portfolio shoot for aspiring model Michail. He has since been lucky enough to be signed with Boss Model Management Cape Town and I follow his career with great anticipation.

This still remains one of my favourite model shots of 2013. The shoot was done in the early hours of a cold morning as the sun was coming up. The location was a vintage car museum with lots of rusted metal, bulldozers overgrown with grass, and a partially built room with brick walls.

I will be looking back on more of my past photos in the weeks to come.
